All teachings point to something bigger than what they actually are, something incorporeal, immaterial therefore unattainable. All teachings are, for this reason, puny, materialistic, and insignificant. That is why we have to let them go eventually - drop them.
As a side note: God is incorporeal therefore can’t be experienced. Looking for God, trying to fit her into the limited box of our experience is still materialistic and futile. It doesn’t work. If in doubt, ask yourself how your spiritual ‘practice’ has been progressing so far. Honestly.
So yes, all the wisdom traditions, all religions, all teachings, all spoken word are merely a stain against the backdrop of god. That’s how pure it is. There is no need to embellish what’s already absolute. There is no need to attain what’s unattainable. That would be like trying to kiss your own lips. Impossible.
