About The Event
This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn how to arm balance and develop a sense of playfulness in their practice. Arm balances enhance our sense of equilibrium. With regular practice, we can have lightness, agility, and strength.
We will lay the groundwork for the most successful and solid arm balances in your practices. Preparation will include:
Wrist Health - Straight Arm Scapular Strength - Bent Arm Strength - Core Strength - Hip Openers - Twisting Poses
We will learn how to recruit certain muscle groups for more efficient usage. The essence of balancing on our hands is in creating a steady foundation that allows us to equally root while we fly.
If you are new to arm balances, Art will provide the tools to help you build your knowledge and confidence for your first unsupported arm balance.
Arm balancing can become part of our practice where we can begin to find meditation in them while increasing our strength and sense of balance.
